HELP US HELP YOU
Make your reservations early, especially during peak times such as holidays and spring break.
Make sure you have enough of your pet’s supplies on hand – food, medications, supplements, litter, etc. Consider buying extra amounts of these crucial items, just in case you’re away longer than planned.
We love it if you have plenty of towels, paper towels, baggies, and cleaning supplies in an easy-to-find location. A notepad and pen are also very helpful, so that we can leave you notes as needed.
Sign our “Authorization for Medical Care” form so we can take your pet to the veterinarian if needed.
If you will be away for more than a long weekend, clean out the fridge (produce, meat, dairy) before leaving.
Leave the contact information for where you will be staying, in case your cell phone does not work there.
Leave a list of numbers that may be helpful for us in case of problems or an emergency with your home: handyman, electrician, plumber, yard or pool maintenance, a nearby family member or friend who’s familiar with your home and pets.
Let us know who else has access to your home, and who might be in the house while you’re away (for example, your housecleaner).
Arrange for snow removal and yardwork service.
Consider informing your nearby neighbor(s) of the duration of your trip, and of the fact that we’ll be visiting your home while you’re away.
If you will be returning earlier or later than planned, call us ASAP and let us know so we can adjust our schedule accordingly.
If you return as scheduled, give us a call to let us know you’ve arrived home safely.
